Wow. I have just found this amazing project Older Women Rock! by Leah Thorn. The project is about exploring and raising awareness of the issues faced by women who are aged in their 50s and 60s.

Through the creation of pop-up political art spaces (films, workshops, talks, poetry, clothes and performance) Leah challenges the invisibility of older women, and subverts the very many ageist and sexist assumptions that surround us when we’re older and female. An aim is to celebrate and unite older women.

One of my favourites is the poetry film Love Your Lines, which is based on Leah’s poem Don’t Buy the Hype. Watch it below. It is so worth 3 and a half minutes of your time.
