I’ve just found out about this wonderful photographic project entitled Beauty in Older Women by Edo Zollo. I’ve pasted the press release below – if you want to take part as a model, get in touch with Edo (beautyolderwoman@gmail.com).
Press Release
Over the course of the next 4 months, London-based photographer Edo Zollo will be embarking on a project to bring out the Beauty in Older Women.
“Iʼd like to explore the reality of women getting older yet still feeling attractive, and Iʼm looking for British women to get involved,” said Zollo.
The object of the photographic project is to challenge peopleʼs perceptions of getting older; maybe beauty treatments can delay the aging processing, but we cannot avoid it, it is a fact of life. Zollo is looking for women in their late 60s or early 70s.
“Iʼd like to photograph my subjects wearing just a white sheet, with a bit of flesh showing; a breast, a leg or back, in a derelict building,” explained Zollo.
The sample photo of Hazel, 79, was taken in a car park. Travel expenses to London are available for those who agree to be a part of the project or Zollo will travel to where they live.
I am 66 years old and live in West Sussex and frequently travel to London. I would like
to apply to be a model for beauty in older women. I am not a raving beauty but would like
magic to be woven with a camera to alter that prospective.
