Teaching
I have a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning & Teaching in Higher Education, and the Learning To Teach OnLine (LeTTOL) qualification. I am an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
With over 20 years’ experience, I have designed and delivered undergraduate and postgraduate modules, as well as bespoke continuing professional development for staff who work in health and social care.
To date, I have supervised 13 PhD/prof doc students to completion, examined 18 at Viva, and I am currently supervising 6 PhD students. I am honoured to have been nominated as a Supervisonary, which recognises ‘good all round supervision that has made a big difference to doctoral students’ by my students every years for the last 6 years.
From 2015-2020 I was the Postgraduate Research (PGR) Lead for the School of Nursing and Midwifery which involved building and supporting our diverse PGR community of students and supervisors.
I welcome enquiries from prospective doctoral students in the areas of gender, ageing, and sexual and reproductive health and rights. Get in touch if you’d like to chat about a potential project.
